What's on Your Credit File?
Your credit file is a record of your financial history. It includes information about your credit accounts, your payment history, and your debt.
Lenders use your credit file to assess your risk as a borrower. The better your credit score, the more likely you are to be approved for a loan and get a lower interest rate, that said we have lenders that don’t Credit Score but Credit Check, so score is not the only factor – your conduct is, however.
You can get a free copy of your credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus all at once which include Experian, Equifax and Transunion.

It’s important to check your credit report regularly to make sure there are no errors. If you find an error, you can dispute it with the credit bureau.
